John & Kate Couples Session
Joshua Tree National Park.
If you have never been to this place you need to go. Granted Kate, John and I didn’t have a whole lot of time while I was visiting the area but I managed to squeeze them and their ADORABLE Lab Brooks in for a quick couples session. We just went to a small pull out on the side of the road inside the park for a half hour. They danced, they twirled, she showed off those stunning legs! Yeozers!
For informational purposes, Joshua Tree National Park is located in southern California just to the Northeast of Palm Springs. The park is quite large. The stars of the show for this couples session (other than the couple themselves!) was to be the actual Joshua Trees. These unique trees can be hundreds of years old but be barely larger than a bush in many cases. They are quite fragile but very hearty. They do live in the desert after all.
Some of the other main attractions in this area are the towering rock formations. They seem to be scattered around like an ancient game of marbles. One of the most popular rocks is Arch Rock. My husband and I lovingly refer to it as dead duck rock because that’s what it looks like. However, during this couples session we did not visit this are of Joshua Tree National Park.
This park also has a beautiful drive that seems to lead to the stars. It actually leads to a huge overlook where you can see Palm Springs and the area outside of it where Coachella takes place. No we didn’t go to those places but they are definitely worth noting and visiting.
It was fun, I just wish we had more time. Joshua Tree National Park is unlike any national park I have ever been too, and I have been to plenty. The strange pointy trees. The crazy big rock formations that you could swear was like a giant’s playground. I can’t wait to go back. Someday I do sincerely hope to do a wedding there. Maybe in a few years, only the Lord knows what is in store! But for now I hope you enjoy this sweet couple’s session of Kate & John.
