Lake Crescent has a waterfall??

You would be surprised how many times I get that questions. But even before that you have to ask yourself. How far would you go to get the most amazing engagement photos? Would you get dirty? Maybe go for a hike? Ok, well how about crossing a freaking river to get to the most stunning waterfall in the area in the background? Because that is what my couples do and that is what Leire (pronounced Layray) and Andy did! One of the first things I tell people that I photograph is the more open you are to going on crazy adventures (like this one), the more possibilities there are to find things you’ve never seen before. This can translate into scurrying up a hillside to get to a better view at the top and then sliding down on your ass on the way down. It’s all worth it.
To see what most people never get a chance to see. A different point of view, perspective, or just getting away from the huge crowd is what I live for. Growing up, I was always afraid to push the limits of safety and never went outside my comfort zone. Heck, I rarely hiked to begin with. But when you get out here to Lake Crescent, this place is practically begging you to climb up that hill, to jump up on that rock, to pet that mountain goat. Okay maybe don’t do that last one. Forget I said that. Please. Don’t do that. But anyways, you get my point.
It was a crazy day weather wise. The sun was shy and only came out from behind the clouds twice for us that day. But when you’re at Lake Crescent any and all weather will not deter from it’s stunning beauty. Personally, I could have both cloudy days and clear sunny days, I just want to be there as much as I possibly can! So we started with the way east end of the lake at East Beach. Moments like this seriously make we swoon so hard! Nothing sweeter (and let’s face it, sexier) than when the one you love the most brushes the hair out of your face to give you a kiss. It’s like something out of a Nicholas Sparks movie or something.
A little backstory on these two. Leire is from Spain. She has a very thick accent that is so sexy it rivals that of Salma Hayek. She met Andy when visiting her brother here in the states. Being as she loves America and music it was the most perfect coincidence that Andy’s birthday is the 4th of July and plays the guitar. It was a match made in heaven!
Even though they are already engaged the ring was too big for Leire’s dainty fingers when he asked the first time so Andy wanted to have this moment to give it to her to make it super official!
