Tiffany & Phil Engagement Session
A story about a Seattle couple and their Engagement Session in Pike Place Market
Back in October I had the pleasure and joy of joining Phil and Tiffany for a “date day” as their engagement photos. She didn’t want the typical engagement session experience. She wanted me to follow them around and capture things that they actually really love doing together and capture their love in a totally raw way. It was a little outside my comfort zone being more paparazzi and less of my usual directional poses, but I accepted the challenge and I got to say, I rather enjoyed myself.
We started out in their neighborhood of Fremont in Seattle at the street market. They picked out some flowers together and grabbed some coffee. Every so often I would have them stop and hug or kiss. It was refreshing, every moment seemed so special and totally natural. After Fremont we headed to No. 6 Cider, a local distillery where Phil works. I had some of their Ginger Cider and it was DELISH! If you’re a cider person, I recommend picking up a 4 pack asap!
We then headed to the famous Pike Place Market for a few shots in the chaos. Love is chaotic after all right? We then headed a few blocks away to their favorite Parisian restaurant, Le Pichet, that has falafels that changed my life and will change yours too!
Lastly, we ended the day at a Seattle Sounders soccer game, which we won of course. Tiffany wanted to make sure I got shots of them there as they are avid fans, and getting photos of them cheering was some of the most fun I have ever had on a shoot. It was an amazing day and I look forward to their Maui wedding in early 2017.
