Q: HOW DO YOU PLAN TO CAPTURE MY WEDDING DAY?

A: my approach to your day is to capture as much real interaction as possible without you knowing I’m there.  I get that shot of you hugging your grandmother with tears in your eyes. I get that shot of you checking out your new husband’s cute butt in his dapper tux. I put intent into what I capture, I don’t just click away hoping I got something you’ll just like. I have a photojournalistic style, but I also got my Vogue roots wanting you to look like a  stunning model couple. I am a good director and if I think something looks awkward, I won’t shoot it. I want you to look natural and happy and of course, crazy silly in love.

Q:  HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU INCLUDE FOR A TYPICAL WEDDING?

A: It’s different from wedding to wedding, obviously the more time I’m there, the more photos you get. But I on average upload 600-900 onto your online gallery.

Q:  HOW LONG DO I GET YOU FOR?

A: Unless you plan to get hitched on a mountain top or by a waterfall and only need 4  hours (which we can chat about if that’s all you need), I do a minimum of 6 hours, but can go up to 12 depending on your budget and needs.

Q:  WHAT ELSE DO WE GET FROM YOU?

A: I like to keep things as easy as possible. You get an online gallery, with a download code so you can go nuts sharing it with Facebook and your family. You also get a print release so you can print all you want. But if you want one of those drool worthy, hard bound, stunning albums that you’ll have forever and be pulling out to show your kids and grandkids someday, I will send you a price list.  I offer print orders a la carte.

Q: HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT PINTEREST IDEAS AND SHOT IDEA LISTS?

A: Personally, I love Pinterest. You can check out mine here. A part of me wishes I had it when I got married for the ideas, but with that said, I believe it’s good for everything BUT your photography. To be completely transparent, getting a pinterest board of your “must have” shots will not only stifle my creativity (which is why you hired me), but it will waste precious time trying to recreate them. Your wedding is special and is uniquely you. Instead of pinning photos of other’s people’s weddings and trying to recreate their moments, let’s make your wedding day so amazing that it will be the one people want to pin.

Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY PHOTOS?

A: Portrait/Engagement sessions about 2 weeks. Weddings a month. But, life does get in the way sometimes, so for any reason it would take longer, I will let you know as soon as possible.

Q: HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD WE ALLOW FOR BRIDE & GROOM PORTRAITS ON OUR WEDDING DAY?

A: Honestly, the longer the better. You wouldn’t rush your doctor in surgery because you got dinner plans, you wouldn’t rush Michelangelo when he was painting the sistine chapel, and you wouldn’t rush the person you paid your hard earned money to to get done as soon as possible just so you can go party that will be over in a few hours. Art and creativity can’t be rushed and if you want beautiful photos that will last you until your golden anniversary, long after that reception is over, then let’s slow it down a notch, breath and make some beautiful photos. One to two hours minimum.

Q: WHAT’S THE BEST TIME OF DAY TO SCHEDULE OUR BRIDE & GROOM PORTRAITS?

A: I can do any time of day, so no worries there, but if you want those dreamy, sun kissed, “golden” photos that are filling up your pinterest boards, then let’s aim for an least an hour to two before sunset.

Q: AFTER ALL THIS, WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU?

A: I want you to trust me. If after going through my website, my Facebook, my Instagram, and seeing my body of work, if you can’t trust me and my style, then maybe I’m not the photographer for you. I care about my clients. I really do want you to love your photos, and I want to make sure that we have a good relationship. From the time you send me that inquiry to that last email that your gallery is ready, it’s anywhere from 6 months to over a year that we will be interacting, I want you to like me. If you don’t, then I can suggest some photographer friends of mine who you might mesh with better. I want this to be a memorable and fun experience for you, and if my photos get you excited then let’s do this.
